The National MS Society, New York City Chapter, provides educational and program services to New Yorkers with multiple sclerosis and their families. The Chapter also supports national MS research. MS is a chronic neurological disease that typically strikes young adults between the ages of 20 and 40. The most severe symptoms of MS include blindness and paralysis. In milder cases, people with MS experience numbness in the limbs, problems with balance and coordination, and cognitive difficulties.
