Sanctuary Families is a not-for-profit organization that was founded to provide emergency housing and crisis intervention to victims of domestic abuse. Currently, its mission has expanded: The organization now helps family violence victims secure public benefits and to pursue the legal rights and remedies to which they are entitled, and to develop the self-sufficiency, resources, and power they need to avoid further abuse and to become independent individuals. It offers services to persons regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status, financial resources, or immigration status.
