Cause Description:
The Center is at the forefront of a movement which is committed to development of new models of care; to the education of medical students and those who teach them; to service to the poor, children, the elderly, the chronically ill and the institutionalized. The Center is working to create a more compassionate, open minded and effective model of health care and health education. This model combines the precision of modern science with the wisdom of ancient healing. It addresses the mental, emotional, social and spiritual, as well as the physical dimensions of health and illness. The Center is also working to establish new models of health care for countries and peoples who are dealing with the after effects of War. The Center is active in Kosovo and has plans to expand programs in other areas of the world dealing with health and trauma.
