The DeKalb Humane Society, Inc. (DHS) has been dedicated to providing comprehensive assistance to homeless companion animals through necessary medical care, an aggressive spay and neuter program, and through our conscientious placement of the animals into permanent homes, since 1966. We make a total commitment to our animals, so we do not limit the time they are sheltered with us and we do not destroy healthy animals. DHS is a non-profit organization operating an animal shelter and adoption agency. Our funding comes solely through private donations and fund-raising events. DHS is not affiliated with any county, state, or federal agency.
