Cause Description:
A non profit organization committed to increasing learning opportunities, broadening social and cultural awareness and fostering educational excellence. Has two programs currently. PAKS (Parents & Kids & Schools) A program that provides educational support and teaches parents how to advocate and monitor their children's education. PAKS strengthens parent-child relationships and improves parents ability to interact with the school. YESS (Youth Enrichment & Social Skills) Program. Helps provide structured enriching activities for children's out of school time. YESS reduces juvenile crime, substanceabuse, early sexual activity, poor grades, and other negative behaviors. The focus is social, emotional, intellectual change for youth based on the exploration of new talents, intellectal challenges and artistic expression. This program helps youths build the skills they need to be prepared for the new millennium.
