Ending the practice of raising dogs in farms to be slaughtered for meat using a multi-pronged approach that also considers the needs of the farmers through support in building a different and sustainable mode of earning a living to ensure survival for their families and localities. To further educate people from differing perspectives to efficiently work together toward the common goal of realizing that the consumption of dog meat should end for numerous reasons by building an extensive literature and publication collection based on well-researched findings. To reach out to the farmers and their families individually with total cultural respect in order to help phase out the practice of raising dogs as a meat product, and to assist these farmers in their transition into different industries and careers. Total cultural sensitivity and respect will be a main focus in ensuring a more successful strategy to persuade dog farmers to completely eradicate the practice of dog meat consumption.
