VOCEL

Chicago, Illinois

Cause Description:
Founded in 2013, VOCEL’s mission to ensure Chicago’s most vulnerable children have the early foundation they need to be successful in school and in life. VOCEL jumpstarts brain development through top-notch teaching and innovative, family-centered programming. In 2014, VOCEL launched the VOCEL Early Learning Center, a preschool program that demonstrated unequivocal impact, with 94% of children meeting/exceeding age-appropriate developmental milestones by the end of the program. In Sept. 2016, VOCEL launched its 2nd program the VOCEL Child Parent Academy (VCPA), a 10- month early learning accelerator for both children and their parents. In June 2018, recognizing the value of two-generational programming and responding to the shifting early learning funding and landscape, VOCEL decided to close the Early Learning Center and focus exclusively on expanding the Child Parent Academy.
