God's Vision For Haiti (GVFH) is a non-profit organization located in Les Cayes. The ministry was founded in Michigan by a native Haitian couple. In 2005, God entrusted the couple with a vision to actively help transform Haiti by reaching out to the vulnerable children. After many years of living abroad, the family has relocated to Les Cayes, Haiti to carry out the vision. GVFH was officially founded in 2009 to serve spiritually, emotionally, physically and educatively and transform the most vulnerable population in Haiti - orphans. Our areas of focus are: Foster Care, Education, Work Skills Training/Job Creation, and Discipleship. For more information, please visit our website at www.gvfhaiti.org Why this approach? The majority of children in orphanages in Haiti are not true orphans, they have one or both parents, unfortunately the parents are not able to provide them. -Foster Care Program - to provide true orphan children with a loving Christian family -Education - Haiti's future in the hands of the next generation, the education of today's children will lead to better citizens and leaders. -Work Skills Training /Job Creation- to help less fortunate parents keep and provide for their own children, and to increase the number of qualified Foster parents -Discipleship - to empower the leaders of the local churches to grow spiritually and help their congregations to be active in their own community and to transform their community, the city and eventually the whole country The impact of all four complementary areas will be endless—with parents providing care for their own kids; vulnerable, orphan children being cared for by loving Christian families; churches actively taking the initiative in transforming their communities; and congregations are equipped to reach out to the “least of these,” the future generation of Haiti. Mission: God's Vision For Haiti exists exclusively for one purpose: to show the love of God to the children and the people of Haiti and to do it tangibly by being the feet and hands of Christ in this place.
