Cause Description:
Rebekah Children's Services houses the most severely abused and neglected children in the State of California, primarily from Santa Clara County. These children are given a second chance for a happy childhood through therapeutic recreation, education and structured home-like experiences. There is a 90%+ success rate in returning these children to more natural home, school and community settings. Additional services include foster care placement and follow up support, prevention work in local schools and neighborhoods, a transitional "wrap around" support team and an on-grounds non public school for severely emotionally disturbed children. The agency has been in the same California location founded and donated by the Odd Fellow and Rebekah fraternal organization in 1896.
