The Puppy Mill Project

Chicago, Illinois

Cause Description:
We work closely with local and state government officials on legislation to reduce the demand for puppy mill puppies and improve the conditions for dogs living in puppy mills. We work with other rescue organizations to facilitate the rescue of puppy mill dogs. We visit schools and youth camps to educate children and adults about the puppy mill industry and responsible pet ownership. TPMP also leads and attends peaceful protests, walks, and demonstrations to raise awareness that the puppies sold in pet stores come from puppy mills.
