The Walk with Tori, benefits scleroderma research at the Pittsburgh Scleroderma Center... every single penny. Scleroderma has no known cause and no cure. It causes the hardening of the skin and the internal organs, decreased blood flow, narrowing of the esophagus, etc. Scleroderma is a rare, chronic rheumatic, autoimmune disease that affects about 300,000people in the United States. Systemic Scleroderma, which is the most serious form, affects about 75,000 of those 300,000. Our mission is to raise awareness and support research and emotional support to families who are living and dying with scleroderma.
