Cause Description:
North Mississippi Boxer Rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted boxers in our area. Some dogs are found as strays, come from kill-shelters, or might have a family that can no longer care for them due to loss of a job, divorce or death. After a boxer finds his way to our rescue he receive veterinary care such as vaccinations, spay/neuter and treatment of any medical condition that they might have. For example, we recently rescued a boxer who's lower jaw bone was broken due to abuse and she had to have part of the jaw removed so she could eat normally again. While in our care, the dogs are fostered in homes where they can be taught manners and house trained. After they are healthy and house trained, we find them loving homes where they will become part of the family. We depend on adoption fees and donations to help us care for dogs while in foster care.
