Cause Description:
I saw a need for a different type of rescue, one that didn’t depend on numbers, but quality of the type of dog coming out of the rescue! I personally have been rescuing cats/dogs, whatever I came across that was in danger. Since I was 13 years old, I drug up every unwanted thing that I came across…. I also got very serious about animal rescue after volunteering with a local advocate group… Things didn’t go as planned, I spent a lot of time, upset over the labels that were placed on the animals, the pure lack of personal kindness a lot of the Animal Control Staff had in the shelter setting. (like the place was full of animals on the way out, so no need to say mush or even give a loving touch.
I don’t believe we need The ACO as their titles are now in time. I believe we need them in the sense that there are hurt, sick and contagious animals that sadly will have to put to sleep. I also believe that if the staff working there, formed a understanding on what was needed and what was an act of pure meanest, then we all in the rescue world would have it a lot easier. Yes the Government has some say, but that’s why we have bills to place.
Since I’ve been (titled) animal Rescue, I have set goals, I haven’t yet listed here, because its always a work in progress.
I believe that the animals that come though my rehabilitation, get better families, that understand, between the adoption forms(which have to be filed before coming to meet the animal( this is my home, 2 reasons, I will not just let anyone come to my home, 2 if you have a funny background, you get turned down on the spot, yes I keep animals longer because of this, but they get better families, not people that chain them, kick them in a yard all the time, or flakes that 2 weeks later take them to another shelter . I have a members app, a adoption app, a adoption contract, and everyone gets our mission statement to start. I ask for co workers and family members say so, Job information (cause if they can’t afford vets or food, they can’t have them) I have an agreed home check and if things aren’t right, I write it down, and its fixed or turned down. The most Perfect dog can come though, and it stays at min 3 weeks, to check out training, work on negatives, and to push the stress level, I can’t adopt an animal out that I have doubts about. I have to be as sure as possible this animal isn’t going to bite or be aggressive with dogs, people, children or out of fear. My way takes longer, but the dog learns to blend in and not be a stress on the family.
Every animal That has been adopted out, the family knows and signs a contract that is something happens or it doesn’t work, 2 3 years down the road live changes, they can call me, and we will set up them or me going to get the animal, and starting all over. I feel like a lot of the families that adopt my rescues are extended families, They agree to update me, weather I call or email. Its agreed to let me know if they move or I can just pop in, Now if I find the animal isn’t being cared for, I have already had them agree on yes a rescue repo….There are so many helpless pets that need your help to be saved from death row. We need your help to get them out of shelters, to see a veterinarian, into foster homes, and promote them to the public for approved and loving “Forever Homes”. If you cannot foster or volunteer, you can sponsor a animal to help with its journey. We believe that it is very important, with so many available pets out there, for each animal to be spayed or neutered before going to their forever home, but this isn’t free. Without donations, none of this is possible. It takes the efforts of many to save each and every one. No one can do it alone.Working together, we CAN reduce the kill rates in our North Carolina shelters and nationally. They shouldn’t have to die. Please contact us and find out how you can help.
We want your help to change things
The goal of this group is to work with rescues/shelters and independent persons to get any animal out of danger of being killed, We believe that saving animals should be its own payoff. We extend our hand and help to anyone in need of our help contacts etc, we know rescue is expensive and not just one person can take this on, with the help of our community and its animal lovers, we can make a difference in dogs and cats in need.
We are not in anyway trying to keep up with, out do, or over do and group helping animals; SavingPaws4ever has seen a crack, hole, missing part, that needs to be filled, the shelters can't do but so much, the rescues are hindered by policies and and budgets, We are hoping to make the world of rescuing animals wake up, join together as a NETWORK of people with 1 underlined goal, to protect the animals from harm.
Our Mission:
To get animals out of acute danger, by using fosters and adoption. We are not locked down to one area or county, If we can get a working network (people working together for the greater good) people all across the country.
We must protest breeding-
( Spay & Neuter) programs for wild cats. Dogs don't have this option, In the network, there will be vet accounts set up with discounted rates and sponsorships
