St. Andrew is an Episcopal Church in Mentor Ohio. Our parish goals are to: 1. Maintain, attract and diversify our community We seek to share the Good News of Jesus Christ among our parishioners as well as beyond the boundaries of the church. We define community as being inclusive of communicants in good standing, as well as collaborative relationships with community organizations and neighboring congregations. 2. Foster spirituality through worship, prayer & music We practice and embrace a wide range worship styles, and we value having multiple liturgies each week that each have their own spiritual integrity. We believe that Christian Formation is a lifelong process-therefore; we support and encourage our membership in continuing their spiritual development. 3. Strengthen lay leadership and our programs The ministry of the baptized is the primary ministry of the church. We encourage and expect our laity to lead according to the gifts given them by God. We employ our membership, from youth to the elderly, to discover their gifts, to develop them, and to share them within the ministries of the church and in the world. 4. Expand outreach and service to our congregation and the larger community Christian service is an essential expression of our faith. We provide opportunities for our members to participate in outreach programs and take on new servant ministries.
