Mission of Friends of CAPA The Friends of CAPA (F of C) is an independent 501 ( C ) ( 3) created and administered by parents of students and alumni of Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts (Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12). Fund raising and distribution of those funds will be used to promote the educational mission and goals of Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 by helping to develop programs, activities and providing equipment specifically for the arts programming to enhancing the learning of students currently enrolled at Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12. F of C supports the vision of Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 to establish a best in class teaching and learning environment that will enable all students at Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 to study academics and the arts for their intrinsic, aesthetic, historical and cultural value.
