Cause Description:
The Spanish Cultural Club at Sussex County Technical School in Sparta, NJ, was started nine years ago. The club to date has taken almost 100 people to the Dominican Republic through our humanitarian/cultural mission trips. We deliver school and medical supplies, clothing, and sports equipment to schools and organizations in the Puerto Plata region of the DR. Signing up for iGive is an effective way of raising funds in order to make the trip affordable to our students. These funds will also be used to purchase some of the supplies we will bring with us. We are in the process of planning our 8th trip for this November. They have been rewarding and life- altering trips for our participants. What a great way to forge ties with our Latin American neighbors!
