Cause Description:
The National Student/Parent Mock Election, based in Tucson, is the nation’s largest civic education project and the world’s largest national mock election. In 2008, more than 5 million students participated. Since 1980, over 50 million participants have learned what it means to be an American. Our mission is to send educated, informed and engaged young Americans to the polls. The National Student/Parent Mock Election (NSPME) has a 30-year history of engaging children in the civic process and supporting their development as informed voters. It provides schools with support and materials for conducting mock elections on the eve of presidential and mid-term elections.
