Cause Description:
We believe that the best time to start learning technology skills is in early childhood, so that children have the skills they need to excel academically as they grow, and to follow the passions they develop in school to become engineers, scientists, astronauts, teachers, physicians, artists, and more. We feel strongly that these skills are one of the long-term keys to a better quality of life for many Rhode Island residents, and a stronger community and economy for the future. We also believe that parents should be part of their child's technology achievement. Whether they're learning together with their child, or providing guidance, parents need to be engaged when their child uses technology so that they know their child is safe and using the computer correctly. Our mission is to help provide technology education to early childhood students within their school or learning center, and to help provide recycled working computers to families with children on the free lunch program at school, along with basic computer skills training to a parent.
