Cause Description:
Our immediate goal is to continue our existing relationships to place animals who have no place else to go and whose only alternative is death. This includes local animal controls, owner relinquishes who have been turned down by “full” shelters, and other rescues whose mission does not include the rescue of specific animals. Another immediate goal is to educate through humane investigations and speaking at local schools, police departments, and the public to provide education about how to prevent animal cruelty and neglect and how to enforce the associated laws. We are also working with others on a national level to increase exposure for rescued animals. Our part of the effort, called “Ralphie’s Hope”, will involve professional photography taken of pets seeking homes throughout the nation. As we build our email, facebook, and website visitors, this exposure will connect many animals with a loving new home. Our ultimate goal is to secure property where we can provide a permanent sanctuary setting for our long-term animals as well as an adoption and education center for the community. We want Ralphie’s Place to be a positive experience for everyone, keeping the mission in mind of no more homeless pets!
