Cause Description:
Our mission is to empower people who have epilepsy so that they can create a better quality of life and achieve independence. We are committed to help eliminate the many myths and stigmas associated with epilepsy, while assisting people who have seizure disorders to increase their knowledge, confidence and independence. In addition, the foundation focuses on creating opportunities for people with epilepsy to reach their full potential. We make this possible through education, grants, partnerships and a variety of programs. The Foundation's goals are: Raise epilepsy and SUDEP awareness through education and advocacy. Provide financial grants to families in need (Emfit Monitors, Smart Watches, Seizure Response Dogs, and other services). Provide Research Funding for the cure of epilepsy. Educate our community about the proper care and management needed for someone with Epilepsy. Provide a community-based forum in which patients, professionals and loved ones can become proactive and involved. Provide resources, books, videos, educational programs and support to help people and families within the Epilepsy community.
