The San Diego History Center is dedicated to helping people of all ages learn about and enjoy the history of San Diego and to appreciate how our past, present and future are interrelated. We have the largest collection of San Diego historical materials in existence. One of the limited number of institutions in the U.S. and around the worlk devoted to the history of a major city. We have a successful K through 12 program that reaches over 17,000 students a year. We publish a scholarly journal and our library serves as a major research ares for many. We have been in operation for over 80 years.
