GLOBAL NETWORK FOR NEGLECTED TROPICAL DISEASES -- JUST 50 CENTS CAMPAIGN: Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are disabling, disfiguring, and deadly diseases impacting more than 1.4 billion people worldwide— more than the number of people afflicted with HIV/AIDS and malaria combined. These bacterial and parasitic infections are widespread among people in poor, rural communities—the majority of whom live on less than $1.25 per day.
