Cause Description:
GENESIS Drum and Bugle Corps is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promote the existence and marketability of drum & bugle corps through social events, music, marching and competitive performances. We are an extra curricular activity, which offers participation to BOTH boys & girls. Similar to many sports teams, this activity promotes TEAMWORK, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORTSMANSHIP and ENTERTAINMENT, However, it is that entertainment factor that makes this program unique. The corps is dedicated to bringing together individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests with a desire to develop and educate the community in the art of “Field Performance Theater” through discipline, teamwork and the pursuit of competitive performance excellence. We wish to provide an opportunity for young musicians in the Rio Grande Valley to explore new musical avenues and expressions. Our program is built by the Valley and FOR THE VALLEY. We will build our program with the community and it's arts programs in mind.
