Arkansas Youth United is about improving lives. Our mission is to help young people with disabilities to get to the future they want. We expect young people with disabilities to successfully graduate from high school, access services to live the lives they want, find meaningful jobs or continue their education, and contribute to their community. To reach these objective, we: (a) provide young people with a structure to develop and reach life goals, (b) teach self-determination and other needed skills, (c) provide parents with support and information on agencies that offer services to help their children succeed, (d) share information with teachers and administrators regarding available services to help their students reach transition goals, (e) collaborate with agencies that offer resources to help these individuals succeed, and (f) coach young people to work as a team, solve problems, reach goals, and celebrate success!
