The Gleason House Medical Clinic is a collaborative project of the Gospel Center Rescue Mission (GCRM) is Stockton California, Community Medical Centers, Inc. (CMC) and Care Link – CMC’s Health Care for the Homeless program. The Gleason House is located at 423 S. San Joaquin Street in Stockton is on the campus of the Gospel Center Rescue Mission. It is the former home of Edna Gleason and is being renovated into a medical clinic that will provide NO-COST primary medical care for homeless individuals in San Joaquin County. The Gleason House is expected to open in mid 2010 once the renovation is complete. Edna Gleason (1886-1963) was a Stockton native, humanitarian; who expended her wealth and energies to benefit and assist members of Stockton who needed a helping hand in times of trouble and stress. In 1975 Gleason Park was dedicated in her honor just blocks from her home. The GCRM is providing the former home of Edna Gleason and has more than 68 years of ministering to those in need. CMC and Care Link will provide the medical staff and support to operate the clinic and have more than 40 years of providing medical care to those most vulnerable in our community.
