Since 1992, A Call To Serve (ACTS) International has provided urgently needed humanitarian medical aid and development programs to the brave people in the war-torn country of Georgia, a former Soviet republic. Children's programs include support of orphanages, pediatric hospitals, refugee centers and an annual diabetic education camp that teaches young Georgians self-management skills that will help them lead longer, healthier lives. ACTS also participates in educational exchanges and other "partnerships for peace" to promote understanding and bring the peoples of the United States and this young, developing democracy halfway around the world closer.
