Dream with Me is a solution based feature length documentary film that is an intimate portrayal of America's public education system. With unprecedented access to classrooms, students, teachers and administrators, Dream with Me spans an entire year in an elementary, middle and high school trying to find out what's really going on in America's classrooms. The purpose of the film and our mission is to be the Inconvenient Truth for education. It will wake people up to the fate of American life as we know it if we allow our education system to continue as status quo. It will make them question prevailing attitudes and outdated education institutions, just as Sicko caused the nation to question the American health care system. It will inspire communities to demand change, just like Super Size Me forced America’s best known fast food chain to overhaul its menu. Dream With Me is more than a documentary about the education crisis unfolding around us. It will inspire individuals to become the agents of change needed to make a difference and save public education in America. Dream With Me looks at public education as it has never been seen before – from the inside. You’ll see American education at its best and worst, told through the stories of the youth, educators and parents who are living it firsthand.
