Cause Description:
The Capitol Area Animal Response Team is an organization of volunteers dedicated to the support of pets as their caring owners recover from hardship, crisis, or disaster. Our focus is to keep pets and families together, and to cut down on the growing number of owner surrenders at animal shelters. By providing temporary resources of food, shelter, veterinary care, and obedience training, CAART promotes the human/animal bond while also teaching responsible pet ownership.
