Cause Description:
Covenant Presbyterian Preschool is an accredited early childhood program founded on the conviction that every child is created and loved by God. We offer a family-oriented environment that encourages parents and caregivers to observe and participate in their child's development. The school is under the direction of a preschool committee, which reports through Covenant Presbyterian Church's division of education to the Session of the church. The preschool carries out this ministry by providing: * an interesting and loving environment that encourages freedom of choice and self-expression; * a community of support to parents, assisting them as they help their children develop into healthy, thoughtful, responsible, spiritual individuals; * experiences to grow physically, mentally and emotionally with open-ended materials that encourage exploration and learning; * a curriculum with a variety of themes that allow children to explore their interests and develop their gifts; * activities in music class and an art studio to encourage creative expression; * a developmental, child-centered approach to preschool education.
