Cause Description:
The specific purpose of the Northridge Hospital Foundation is to support, financially and otherwise, the charitable purposes and activities of Northridge Hospital Medical Center, an organization dedicated to providing compassionate, quality, high-value healthcare services and programs to the residents of the San Fernando Valley. The Northridge Hospital Foundation will achieve this mission by developing financial and volunteer resources that: 1) improve patient care, 2) ensure the continuance of existing programs and services, 3) establish and enhance new programs and services, 4) acquire state-of-the-art medical equipment, and 5) provide new and/or renovated facilities for patient care. The Foundation also represents the medical center in helping to plan, enhance and implement community benefit programs and community health initiatives that improve community health within the San Fernando Valley. All donated funds to the Northridge Hospital Foundation support Northridge Hospital Medical Center and stay within the community. Funds are invested and managed by the Foundation. Gifts made with no restrictions are used to support programs of the highest priority within Northridge Hospital Medical Center. At the same time, restricted gifts are used entirely for their earmarked purposes, with no overhead or fee charged against these contributions.
