"Wishbone, based in Saugatuck, was formed in 2008 by a group of people concerned about the welfare of pets in West Michigan. They decided to help at the Allegan shelter and formed the Wishbone Allegan Shelter Animal Project. They have two objectives: First, they want to help increase adoptions. Second, they want to help staff the shelter. Wishbone provides food and medical care for cats and dogs in foster care. They (fosters) provide the love and safe haven."
