Cause Description:
CABLE provides training to police on issues relating to mental health and mental illness. CABLE has two training tracks. The first track helps police to understand mental illness and how to de-escalate possible volatile situations while diverting people and veterans with mental illness and PTSD from jail to services that will assist them in the community whenever possible.The second track trains police officers how to support and help their own co-workers when the cumulative stress of their jobs becomes overwhelming.
