For more than a decade, the Student Environmental Action Society has sponsered extracurricular activities that have improved both the campus and community ecology in Kings Park. Borne out of enthusiasm for the content of the elective environmental science class and a desire to extend those concepts to outdoor experiences, the SEAS nucleus of students has been the catalyst for the evolution of a multifaceted environmental program headquartered in a large classroom known as the Kings Park Environmental Center (KPEEC).
