The Port San Luis Marine Institute is a public benefit 501(c)3 educational support organization providing unique hands-on learning opportunities in the fields of Marine Biology and Oceanography to the children of San Luis Obispo County and surrounding areas including Fresno, Kern, Kings, Tulare and Santa Barbara Counties. PSLMI currently offers several programs on site at Port San Luis, Avila Beach where trained educators, including marine biologists, introduce our student scientists to marine animal and plant life, sea water chemistry, as well as concern for and appreciation of the human-ocean interface.
