Cause Description:
The Friends of Ulysses S Grant Cottage work with New York State to run Grant Cottage State Historic Site. Ulysses Grant came to this cottage on Mt. McGregor to complete his memoirs. The rooms remain as they were when he died here in July 1885, with the bed where he died, personal items belonging to Grant, and flowers from the funeral; there is also a spectacular view of the Hudson Valley and a visitor center with gift shop.
