Cause Description:
Bantay Bata 163 is a child abuse intervention program that operates a 24-hour hotline to provide easy access to efficient and immediate response to Filipino children in crisis. Its unique media resource has become a catalyst in increasing awareness on the enormous problem of child abuse in the Philippines. The project operates 24 hour hotline for counseling and crisis situations, provides therapy and rehabilitation of a rescued child, production of information materials concerning children's rights, provides food nd clothing for rescued children, provides medical assistance for indigent children, provides scholarship for an abused child and conducts school tour campaigns for awareness on children's rights.
