Cause Description:
The Samaritan Center for Counseling and Pastoral Care is a private, nonprofit, interfaith ministry whose mission is to promote wholeness and healing by offering affordable services that integrate the mental, spiritual, emotional, physical and community dimensions of life. Our therapists are sensitive to the spiritual and personal values of clients and are trained in dealing with issues of faith during counseling, but do not impose religious concepts on clients. The Samaritan Counseling Center provides professional, affordable mental health and pastoral counseling services for the child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. We deal with a wide range of issues including grief, child abuse, sexual abuse, relational discord, depression, substance abuse, anxiety, parenting, divorce, abuse, career counseling and life transitions. Counseling sessions are available in individual, couple, family, play therapy, and group formats. We also provide educational seminars to individuals, employers and congregations on topics such as stress management, conflict management, preparing for marriage and parenting after divorce.
