The mission of the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS) is to eliminate birth defects caused by alcohol consumption during pregnancy and to improve the quality of life for those individuals and families affected. MOFAS works collaboratively within communities to provide resources and support for families living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). We strive to build partnerships and improve services for individuals and families. FASD is an umbrella term describing the range of effects that can occur in an individual whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy.
