Cause Description:
Deep South Horse Haven is not a 501 c 3 as of yet, but we are working on it. We do local horse rescue, buy from low end auctions, attempt to educate owners on how to help horses and basically try to to insure that our equine friends are well taken care off. To date we have rescued more than 15 horses and placed ( not sold.. they were sent out on essentially permenant leases, with references, pictures, letters from vets each year and spot checks) We still have several residents that require daily feeding, hoof care, grooming, treatment for assorted ailments and such. We need volunteers as well as funding.
