Cause Description:
(re)ACTion Youth Theatre provides free theatre classes and performance opportunities to New York City youth ages 14-20 that would otherwise lack access to such programs. Young people have voices that often go unheard. The performing arts provide them with an opportunity to express themselves creatively. Therefore, (re)ACTion Youth Theatre provides an outlet of artistic expression thus promoting positive self image as well as altering the sometimes negative perception of New York City youth at large. RYT is intended to provide members with a unique opportunity for personal growth through self-expression, rather than focusing on training future theatre professionals.
