The hungry men, women, and children in the 15 counties of Northeastern North Carolina.  In a recent survey of our clients, we found this out about your hungry neighbors: * 71% of the households served locally include children * 76% are female * 24% are male * 43% are between 18 and 65 years of age * 28% are under age 18 * 29% are over age 65 * 51% are single-parent household * 63% have high school degrees * 20% do not have a car * 22% are working * 24% are retired * 45% had to choose between paying rent or buying food.
