Cause Description:
Nah We Yone offers direct services to African refugees and asylees in the New York City area. We provide counseling, referrals and a sense of community to newly arrived Africans who are often living on the margins of society. We hold an annual culture camp for African refugee children, have general meetings and workshops, a women's wellness group and youth development activities. Often we are the lifeline for Africans who are rebuilding their lives in New York after experiencing war, brutality and other trauma.
