Cause Description:
Since 1981, Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice has proudly served individuals with life threatening illness as well as individuals facing grief and loss issues. As a volunteer hospice, FVVH receives no state or federal funding. Distinct from traditional hospices, we offer individuals the option of continuing treatment for their life-threatening illness. As the largest volunteer hospice in the nation, we have served more than 10,000 patients and their families throughout the Fox Valley community. We offer care to the whole person and entire family affected by a life threatening illness or the loss of a loved one. We work to alleviate the suffering and loneliness associated with dying and grieving by offering free support and guidance to all. The mission of Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice is to enhance the quality of life by providing the best in compassionate services to persons with life threatening illnesses and the bereaved.
