The Institute for Wildlife Studies was incorporated in 1979 as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Service designation 501 c(3). The Institutes goal is to increase our understanding of wild animals and the habitats upon which they depend, in order to maintain viable wildlife populations. The Institute conducts a variety of wildlife restoration and research projects across the country and around the world, usually concentrating on threatened and endangered species.
