Cause Description:
In 1984, Family ReEntry opened its doors under the mission statement, “empowering individuals and strengthening families to reduce crime, violence, abuse, and neglect”. Existing solely to assist this vastly underserved and often forgotten population, today, Family ReEntry is more vibrant than ever. We provide much needed counseling services and psychoeducational programs to offenders and their families. These clients are referred by the criminal justice system. There is no other family-focused agency in our area dedicated solely to the psychological well-being of this vastly underserved and often forgotten population. Research indicates that clients completing our programs are three times less likely to be rearrested and re-incarcerated than those who do not participate in our programs.
