Cause Description:
This Cause was put together in hopes of providing aid to local homeless animals and people, orgs etc. with vouchers for needed food, supplies, and medical care, TNR projects/vouchers, spay & neuter programs/vouchers for people that need some assistance, in hopes of deterring people in dumping their animals at kill shelters. So far about 11 dollars were raised on here--just leaving it up in case any of you have a fabulous idea that we could incorporate this cause to more benefit the animals in need and to end the cruel "pet" industry. :)NOTE: If you really want to help homeless animals, and people--do it locally. Take them food and stuff they need; pay for a doctor or vet visit with vouchers or gift cards specifically for the need or service--get a receipt (so you can report your giving if you like). I think there are orgs out there who can offer some sort of voucher/gift card system for things of need, food, care and services. Check around and thoroughly. Also a good way to know where your money goes and that it actually went to help the animal or person. I started this cause account years ago and truthfully had forgotten about it--it was here to hopefully raise funds to help in the helping of homeless animals, locally, with their needs and cares until they could be adopted, as we were able to. Everything I've helped with has ended up coming from our own pockets--a small dedicated group of caring volunteers. And these sites made were just a way to try and support any those efforts we were doing over the years, ex: spay/neuter, food, supplies, med., all around help efforts to help animals off the streets or by helping unwanted animals who are no longer wanted by their families find new forever families who will always care. Any promotion of fund raising/voucher raising has ended years ago, mostly because they weren't being successful and the wasn't the extra time nor man power to put into any fancy promoting. Would rather put any extra time into awareness and hands on local work--small work efforts but more quality than quantity. used their own money and gifts from family friends to pitch in. I will leave this up for now and update as needed.
