The Hope Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SWOG - - the Southwest Oncology Group-- raises funds to support SWOG's mission of treating and preventing cancers (breast, prostate, lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, leukemia, melanoma, sarcoma, lymphoma and myeloma) through clinical trials engaging a vast network of nearly 5,000 physician-researchers working in more than 550 university teaching hospitals, community hospitals, community-based physician cooperatives and individual medical practices across the US, Puerto Rico and Canada. SWOG researches cancer prevention and all modalities of cancer therapy including surgery, radiation and systemic therapies.
