Cause Description:
The Center for Emerging Leadership is a peer to peer mentoring program run by and for people with developmental disabilities. Peer mentors are adults with developmental disabilities, ages 18-30, who have been successful in employment, education, and community living. Services are provided to "Emerging Leaders" ages 13-30, with developmental disabilities. Mentors assist emerging leaders to learn self advocacy and self determination skills that will help them make decisions about where they wish to live, work, and play.
