Cause Description:
The Urban Collaborative is an independent, alternative public middle school serving urban students in grades 7 - 9. All of our students have been held back at least one year prior to enrolling at UCAP, and are at serious risk of dropping out. At UCAP, they are given the chance to complete three years in two, and go on to high school with the academic and social skills they need to succeed. The Fund for UCAP is the fundraising arm of the school. UCAP receives tuition for the students who attend, but tuition does not cover the extensive network of afterschool, vacation and summer programs that are essential to keeping our students on track to stay in school.
