Cause Description:
Yolo Hospice provides skilled nursing care and support to terminally ill people and their families; bereavement counseling to all children, teenagers and adults in our communities whether or not their loved one was on our services; and public education on end-of-life issues. Bereavement couneling and support groups for community members and education programs are provided without charge, as are patient care services when insurance is not available. Generous donations from supporters make this possible. Yolo Hospice, founded in 1979, was the first hospice -- and continues to be the only independent nonprofit hospice -- in our region. Yolo Hospice is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
